Is this man set to replace Mikel Arteta as the new manager at Arsenal?

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was hailed as a revolutionist at the end of the 2019-20 season but over the past couple of months, the understudy of Pep Guardiola has been living under immense pressure.

Arsenal have been in a terrible run of form in the Premier League this season, losing seven out of their first 12 matches and as per some rumours, Italian Massimiliano Allegri could be in line to replace Mikel Arteta at the Emirates.

Over the past few days various reports have suggested the 53-year-old might be on his way to England especially after he expressed his ambition to manage in the Premier League.

“I would like to experience the Premier League,” Allegri had said recently, as reported.

“In Italy, I was in Milan four years. Five years in Juventus. Now I expect (to work again) in Italy, but it is difficult, or in England.

“English football is improving now because there are a lot of foreign trainers. England now is more sophisticated, and more tactical, but is also respecting the tradition of English football.

“It’s a good balance of the spirit of English football and the new quality and new tactical approach of the new coaches.”

The pressure is undoubtedly on Mikel Arteta to get things back on track as quickly as possible and if things don’t improve by the end of this year then the young manager could very well be shown the door.

Arsenal take on the likes of Everton and Chelsea during the holiday season meaning Mikel Arteta could be looking at few more dropped points. And if this is truly the case then the management will not hesitate to bring in someone like Massimiliano Allegri for the remainder of the season.

Allegri has only managed in Italy which could mean he will need some time to settle in England(if he comes over) but given the dire state Arsenal are in right now, a change in the dugout might be the best possible solution.
