Premier League side Manchester United are planning to make a summer move for Barcelona misfit Miralem Pjanic, according to Fichajes.
The report claims: “Manchester United is targeting one of the best midfielders in the world at the time and he fits perfectly into the Norwegian coach’s game system. We are talking about Miralem Pjanic.
“The 31-year-old Bosnian midfielder does not fit into Ronald Koeman’s plans for next season and everything seems to indicate that he will leave Barcelona in the next transfer market, at which point Manchester United will make an offer to the club. Spanish to get their services
“Miralem Pjanic is a midfielder who likes Solskjaer and who fits perfectly into his idea of the game, where he would play as a defensive midfielder alongside Scott McTominay who has much more arrival and is much more solid defensively.”

Man United are currently using Fred and McTominay in defensive midfield but once they head back into the Champions League, the manager will definitely need an upgrade.
And given the experience he has in Europe, Miralem Pjanic could be the perfect solution to United’s problems in the middle of the pitch.
While Fred and McTominay have done really well this season but the pair have often been found wanting which is why Ole is looking to bring in reinforcements during the summer window.

Miralem Pjanic moved to Barcelona from Juventus last summer but he has failed to find a regular spot in the starting line-up, managing to start only six La Liga matches this season. It’s obvious that Ronald Koeman does not prefer him so we don’t think the manager will have too many issues in parting ways with the midfielder in the summer.
But the 31-year-old still has three years left on his current deal which would indicate that Man United will have to shell out a significant amount of money to sign Pjanic.
At £100,000-a-week Miralem Pjanic might turn out to be a pretty great buy for Man United but the Bosnian is well past his prime so Solskjaer will need to think long and hard before spending valuable money on the Barcelona misfit.
