Cristiano Ronaldo had been linked with a move to Bayern Munich in the previous few days but the Bundesliga giants have no interest in signing him.
Man United terminated Ronaldo’s contract by mutual agreement and since then the Portuguese has been linked with all the major European clubs. After his interview with Piers Morgan, Man United wasted no time in showing him the door but unlike several claims, the Premier League side have opted not to take any sort of legal action.
The official statement read: “Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect.
“Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the team’s progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to deliver success on the pitch.”
Bayern Munich’s name had been shining bright in the previous few days but the club’s CEO Oliver Kahn has made it clear that they have no intention of signing Cristiano Ronaldo.
“I can rule out a move for Ronaldo,” Kahn told Sky Germany(h/t Fotmob).
“We considered it, it’s our duty. We all love Ronaldo but we have a different strategy. We have a clear idea, a clear philosophy of how our squad should be put together.”
Bayern Munich had the chance to sign Ronaldo during the summer as well but there’s no way the Bundesliga club are going to sign someone who is 37 years old and has such a steep wage bill.

Jorge Mendes will give it his all to land Cristiano Ronaldo a bumper deal but right now, not many big clubs actually want to sign him up.
The likes of PSG, Madrid, Man City and Bayern have already looked away and as things stand, Chelsea are the only side who are seriously considering this free transfer.
Chelsea’s new boss is very keen to bring Ronaldo to Stamford Bridge and we think he will set the ball rolling once CR7 returns from the World Cup. Tuchel blocked this move in the summer but we doubt if Graham Potter is going to stand in the way if his owner wants Ronaldo at the club.
The way Ronaldo has left Manchester United, he will have no hesitance to join an English rival in January. However, if Chelsea back off then it will be really hard for him to remain in Europe’s top leagues.
Ronaldo does have a multi-million dollar offer from Saudi Arabia and if he can’t secure a European move by the end of January then the Portuguese international might have to head to the middle east.
