ATK Mohun Bagan striker Roy Krishna has been gathering some major interest from across the globe which could indicate that he decides to snub a new deal with the ISL club.

His wife and agent Naziah Ali-Krishna in a recent interview with FijiLive claimed that they are yet to sign a new deal with ATKMB and Krishna could be on his way to play in a new country.

She said in the interview: “We still haven’t finalised any deals yet. There has been more interest but we are taking our time to decide based on the COVID-19 and the effects on the countries these offers are coming from.”

“India seems to be improving. The next season for most leagues doesn’t start until September. So we have a lot of time remaining to decide and come to a conclusion. It’s also difficult to make a decision because some leagues have reduced player salaries too.”

“We still in talks with various agents. But we need to make sure that we weigh everything before deciding,”

Is Roy Krishna on not coming back to ATK Mohun Bagan?

Roy Krishna joined the Kolkata based club in 2019 from Wellington Phoenix and since then he has been one of the most prolific goalscorers in the ISL.

As per the rumours, clubs like FC Goa and Mumbai City FC have shown an interest in signing him while there’s also a few A League clubs which want him on board.

But in a recent tweet, Football Monk’s Prachyaprachetah Sarkar has claimed that Roy Krishna is not likely to leave and will sign a new deal with ATK Mohun Bagan.

This bit of news will be massive upliftment for the Mohun Bagan fans but given the amount of interest shown in the player, things could change at the very last moment.

During the previous season, Roy Krishna played in 20 ISL matches for ATKMB, scoring 14 and assisting four goals.
