Liverpool picked up an easy win vs Burnley on Saturday but Sadio Mane has been the talk of the town ever since he was taken off.

Sadio Mane chose to give a mouthful to Mo Salah after the Egyptian refused to pass the ball to him even though the former has a clear shot at the target. And immediately after this Jurgen Klopp chose to take Mane off and replace him with Divock Origi.

But clearly, Mane was not too pleased with the substitution as he had a heated conversation with the fitness coach as well as some of his teammates.

And this has led many to believe that there is a big of an underlying ego war going on between the Liverpool forwards – especially between Sadio Mane and Salah.

Jordan Henderson though has come out to clear the air regarding the whole situation stating that the forward cooled down pretty fast and there was no further discussion over this incident.

Henderson said(as reported by Goal): “Sadio is fine, he’s a great lad. That’s just us pushing each other all the time. I think that’s important.

“We all want to do better, we all want to improve, but we’re really close and I think we can deal with that.

“I’m not sure [what caused it] to be honest. I couldn’t really understand at first, but then when he came in, he was laughing and joking.”

While most people believe, Henderson’s word is enough to settle the situation but we feel there is more to it than what meets the eye – especially since the club captain has had to come out so quickly and put water over the fire.

Obviously no team will accept that there’s an issue between their star players but this is not the first time that Mo Salah has shown his selfish side.

For a team which prouds itself of being such a cohesive unit, the Egyptian might be the odd one out.

But two years back no one could really dare say anything against Salah due to the rich vein of form that he was in but after last season the dimensions have shifted.

Sadio Mane has also proved to be a big asset to Liverpool and it looks like the winger is also hungry for the limelight at the club.

It takes no prizes for guessing that Jurgen Klopp will try and solve this as soon as possible but this small discontent might very well be the first crack in the wall.
