Thomas Tuchel seems to have given up on Timo Werner and as per the latest reports, the manager is now ready to get rid of him.

Chelsea had paid £48 million for the German back in 2020 but he’s been a major flop since moving to the Premier League. To date, Timo Werner has played in 89 games for the club scoring just 23 goals.

Apart from the goals, his impact in the team has been virtually non-existent which is why Tuchel has decided to cash in on him this summer itself.

Fabrizio Romano has tweeted: “Timo Werner could really leave Chelsea this summer. He’s one of the names in Juventus list alongside Allegri’s priority Morata – was already discussed during negotiations for de Ligt.

“Chelsea also tried to include Werner loan in talks with Leipzig for Mukiele.”

Now, in a major development, Bild Sport’s Christian Falk has claimed that Newcastle United are also interested in Timo Werner.

Will Timo Werner head to Italy or will he join Newcastle United?

The Chelsea fans had really high hopes from Timo Werner but the German international has turned out to be a major dud.

Thankfully, he has no shortage of takers and we have a feeling that Werner will want to leave the Premier League at the first opportunity he gets.

Juventus are not prioritizing him right now but if Allegri comes calling then Timo Werner is surely going to choose the Old Lady over the Magpies.

However, if Juve don’t make a move then the 26-year-old will have no other option but to leave Chelsea and head to St James’ Park.

His current contract with Chelsea expires in 2025 but there’s no point in him staying at the club for one more season because Thomas Tuchel has lost all faith in him. Also, the Blues have signed Raheem Sterling which pushes Werner further down the pecking order.
