Jack Grealish to Man City

After suffering a setback in the Champions League final, Man City are eyeing a potential summer overhaul and it’s being claimed that Pep Guardiola is looking to bring in Jack Grealish and Harry Kane before the new season begins

Jack Grealish and Kane have been on Man City’s radar for some time now and after the UCL final defeat, Guardiola is even more determined to get his hands on the two England internationals.

The Athletic are claiming that players like Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus could be shown the door this summer while Sergio Aguero has already walked out on a free transfer.

The Daily Mail cite The Athletic saying: “The Athletic claim Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling and Aymeric Laporte are all dissatisfied and that their feelings are shared by other team-mates, meaning a shake-up may be on the cards over the coming weeks.

“The sensational report says that the disgruntled group of players would ‘consider’ leaving in the window, or even ‘actively push’ for a transfer. City are believed to be willing to offload stars that don’t want to be at the Etihad.”

If these transfers happen then there’s bound to be a lot of space to accommodate players like Harry Kane and Jack Grealish next season.

After Spurs, failure to finish in the top-four, Harry Kane has already sent out hints about a potential exit from Spurs this summer and these rumours are bound to amplify now that Manchester City are planning to bring in reinforcements this summer.

Daniel Levy reportedly wants around £150 million for the sale of Kane – if the club have no other option but to let him leave and even Aston Villa are likely to demand somewhere around £100 million for the sale of Jack Grealish.

So, both these players are not going to come cheap but Pep Guardiola will be backed by the club’s owners in the market so finances will not be a hurdle for the Spaniard. Plus they are always going to mop up some funds from players sales in the summer.

Villa shouldn’t have any problems in letting Jack Grealish leave if their transfer demands are met but Tottenham are not going to let Harry Kane leave so easily.

With Aguero gone, Kane is surely going to be on the transfer wishlist for Guardiola but the arrival of someone like Jack Grealish will largely depend on the futures of players like Mahrez and Raheem Sterling.

If Man City are not planning to offload any more attackers this summer then they might not be interested in spending unnecessary money on the playmaker.

There’s no denying that Manchester City will perhaps be the favourite club to sign both these players but there are other potential suitors in the transfer market as well, namely Manchester United who have been heavily linked with both these players for a couple of months now.
