Manchester City are set to complete the signing of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa and as per the Daily Mail, the Etihad outfit will announce the deal today.

The report suggests: “Jack Grealish will complete his £100million move to Manchester City today.

“The Aston Villa captain is due in Manchester to sign his contract ahead of completing the British record transfer deal.

“Grealish had returned to training with Villa on Monday after his holidays in Mykonos and Dubrovnik. In respect of his boyhood club, he maintained a professional manner as the squad went through their paces.

“He held discussions with sporting director Johan Lange and was clear in taking the next step up in his career.”

How much are Man City paying for Jack Grealish?

The buzz of Jack Grealish wanting to join Manchester City had been doing the rounds ever since the Etihad outfit made an offer of £100 million a few weeks ago.

But while most of the publications are suggesting that City are paying £100 million, Football Insider claim that only £75 million of that amount will be paid upfront – the rest of the amount will likely be performance-based payments.

The exclusive report said: “Jack Grealish is undergoing a Man City medical today after Aston Villa accepted their bid, Football Insider has learned.

“But the fee being paid for the Villa skipper will initially be fair less than the £100million being reported by multiple outlets.

“A Villa source has told Football Insider that Grealish has been given the green light to complete a move to City today.”

Jack Grealish is without a doubt one of the best playmakers/wingers in the English Premier League right and if Manchester City are actually paying £75 million initially then it’s nothing short of a bargain deal for them.

But based on the performances the 25-year-old has given in the past two years, we are pretty confident City will have to cough out that excess £25 million as well.
