Arsenal are still in search of a winger and as per reports, the Gunners have made an official enquiry for Jarrod Bowen.

Jarrod Bowen joined West Ham United from Hull City in 2020 and over the previous two years, he has been one of the star attackers for the Hammers.

Transfer expert Ben Jacobs has revealed that even though West Ham United are not too keen to sell Bowen but Arsenal have still made an official enquiry.

When speaking to Give Me Sport, Jacobs said: “With Bowen, West Ham’s stance remains that they really don’t want to sell.

“So there’s a lot of clubs circling over Bowen, but the challenge, much like Declan Rice, is persuading West Ham to sell during this window and West Ham remain pretty intent not to let him go.

“So, there’s lots of excitement about Bowen moving potentially to a club like Arsenal, but it’s all hypothetical at the moment, because West Ham don’t want to sell.

“Arsenal have definitely made an enquiry around Bowen to see what the situation is, but that’s what they’ve been told.”

Will Arsenal be able to land Jarrod Bowen?

Pundit Noel Whelan has claimed that £50 million is the ideal price for someone like Jarrod Bowen and the Gunners should bring him on board.

He tells Football Insider: “I think he’d fit into any side with the way he’s been playing. He’s a really good, exciting player. 25 years old but it feels like he’s been around for a lifetime – and still has those prime years ahead of him.

“£50m wouldn’t be a price tag you would sniff at. He’s very much worth that with what he gives you. He’s got work rate, assists, goals, running off the ball – and he’d fit right in at Arsenal.”

Originally, Edu and Arteta wanted Raphinha but the winger snubbed Arsenal and Chelsea to join Barcelona and it’s pretty clear the North London side are still on the lookout for a winger.

Jarrod Bowen scored 12 goals and provided 10 assists in the Premier League last season so he will be the ideal fit at Arsenal. However, we don’t see this deal happening because firstly, the Hammers won’t let him leave because they don’t have time to find an ideal replacement and secondly, Arsenal will need to get rid of Nicolas Pepe before they can make any sort of formal offers for Bowen.
