Liverpool have been linked with a summer move for Jarrod Bowen but as per Caught Offside, the Anfield outfit will have to shell out an exorbitant amount if they wish to sign the winger.

Jarrod Bowen joined West Ham United in 2020 from Hull City and since then he’s turned into one of the key attacking players at the club. This season, he’s scored eight and assisted eight goals in the 27 Premier League appearances he’s made for the club.

Liverpool have been keeping tabs on the right-winger for some time now but as per the latest gossip, the Hammers are currently valuing Bowen in the region of £75million.

This is a really massive amount and since Liverpool make really calculated signings, Jurgen Klopp will have to think long and hard before he asks his board to make a move for the 25-year-old.

Do Liverpool need Jarrod Bowen?

Sadio Mane and Mo Salah are the two first-choice wingers at Liverpool right now but there are doubts over their future. There have been rumours that both of them might be looking to head for greener pastures in the coming years meaning Klopp has to go out and search for backups.

Liverpool have already signed a backup for Mane in the form of Luis Diaz during the January transfer window so logically they will now be eyeing a move for a right-winger, someone who will become the long-term replacement for Mo Salah on the right-hand side.

There are rumours that Salah wants to join the La Liga soon and if he does not sign a new deal then Liverpool will surely try and sign the West Ham United winger at the end of this season.

Will West Ham let Bowen leave in the summer?

Jarrod Bowen still has three more years left on his contract so West Ham United are in no hurry to cash in on him. Also, Declan Rice will be leaving in the summer so Moyes will not want another big-name player gone in the same window.

It will be really difficult to replace Rice and the last thing the Hammers boss wants is to find a replacement for Bowen as well.

The Hammers have valued Bowen at around £75million only to keep the suitors away and they will do all they can to hold onto the winger for one more season, at least. Also, if they can secure a Champions League spot then we don’t think Jarrod Bowen himself will want to leave at the end of this season.

Liverpool are not at the risk of losing Mo Salah this year meaning Jarrod Bowen will become a backup to the Egyptian should he choose to join Liverpool in the next few months.
