Jesse Lingard left Manchester United as a free agent at the end of the season but the forward is currently wanted by a series of top Premier League clubs.
West Ham United manager David Moyes has always been inclined to bring him back to the London Stadium and last month, Spurs had also been linked with the 29-year-old.
However, Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Tottenham have no interest in signing Jesse Lingard so they are not going to make any approaches.
He wrote on Twitter: “Tottenham will not open talks to sign Jesse Lingard. He’s not a target on Fabio Paratici and Antonio Conte’s list for this window.
“Lingard will decide his future soon, matter of days.”

Where will Jesse Lingard end up next season?
After this update, many people thought West Ham United were automatically the favourite to sign the England international and it’s only a matter of time before an official announcement is made.
However, in a major twist, Nottingham Forest have approached Jesse Lingard over a possible transfer and many sources claim that Forest have a great chance of landing the Man United academy graduate.

West Ham are obviously in the race so no one’s ruling them out just yet but the entry of Forest has certainly spiced things up for all the onlookers.
Forest has just returned to the top tier and at the City Ground, he will be no less than a superstar but having said that, we believe, the Hammers are still favourites to land him.
Jesse Lingard spent a very successful loan spell with West Ham so he knows very well how the team functions under David Moyes. He would much rather choose to join a club where he has had prior experience rather than start an unfamiliar battle at the age of 29.
Since he’s a free agent, several other factors like wages will also come into consideration but if Lingard is going to choose his next club based purely on footballing merit then West Ham United should be ahead of Nottingham Forest in this race.
UPDATE:
Fabrizio Romano, in his exclusive column in CaughtOffside, has claimed that while Nottingham Forest are leading the race to sign Jesse Lingard but West Ham United have still not given up hopes of signing him.
“Negotiations with Nottingham Forest are underway, Jesse Lingard is tempted by this possibility. Some MLS clubs have also approached him but his priority is the Premier League,” Romano has claimed.
“The salary figures are still unclear but the proposal is on the table, while West Ham are still in negotiations for Lingard but do not want to offer excessive net salary; they would only sign him on their own terms. As for Tottenham, there’s no interest, despite some reports.
“I believe the final decision is now very close.”
