Jesse Lingard Man United news
Jesse Lingard Man United

Man United midfielder Jesse Lingard has not moved up the pecking order at the club this season and maybe this is why he’s rejected a new deal at the club, as per BBC.

The report claims: “England forward Jesse Lingard has rejected a contract offer from Manchester United.

“It is understood Lingard has concerns about how often he is likely to play this season, especially since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo.

“It will become more apparent how much he is likely to be used by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over the next three weeks, during which time United open their Champions League and Carabao Cup campaigns, in addition to playing four league matches.”

Jesse Lingard moving to West Ham United?

West Ham United were the frontrunners in signing Jesse Lingard this summer and if he refuses to sign a new deal then the Hammers will once again be in the driver’s seat.

West Ham failed to match United’s transfer demands this summer but next year he will be a free agent and they can even agree on a pre-contract in January.

We doubt if Lingard’ situation is going to improve at the club, more so since Cristiano Ronaldo has joined Manchester United.

If United were playing in the Europa League then Jesse Lingard could have gotten some game time but we are more than certain that Ole will not be using him in the big UCL matches. He will have to be content with playing time against teams like Young Boys and some cup games.

He is not likely to agree to a new contract and it’s West Ham United who are going to get their hands on him, once Man United allow him to talk to the potential suitors.
