This Man United misfit has no future under Solskjaer: Playing for a new club next season?

Jesse Lingard Man United EPL

Man United forward Jesse Lingard is currently out on short-term loan at West Ham United and according to Rio Ferdinand, the England international does not have any future if he return to United at the end of the season.

‘What’s his ambition here, beyond this season, what is he [Lingard] looking to do?’ Ferdinand told BT Sport, as quoted by Metro.

‘If West Ham don’t put a bid in to buy him at the end of this loan I think this loan has to be seen as a failure.

‘That’s got to be his aim… to get a bid from West Ham and other clubs to take him out of Man United. Because I don’t see him going back to Man United and really affecting that squad now.

‘I think they’ve moved past him with the players they’ve recruited, he doesn’t feature, hasn’t done for so long.’

Will West Ham sign Jesse Lingard permanently?

Jesse Lingard has made a bright start to his loan spell at West Ham United but it’s really early to judge if the Hammers will look to sign him permanently or not.

Lingard has hardly played any football for Man United this season in the Premier League and if he returns to Old Trafford then he will be warming the benches once again.

David Moyes is seems fond of Jesse Lingard which is why he has signed the player on loan and the West Ham manager will desperately want the 28-year-old to succeed at the London Stadium in the coming months.

Gareth Southgate still believes the winger has a bright future ahead of him but his career will hit a dead end if he chooses to head back to Manchester United.

Also, Jesse Lingard has only one more year on his current deal at the club so either Ole will want to cash in on him this summer or risk losing him for free next year.
