Gabriel Jesus scored his first goal in Man City blue as Guardiola’s men thumped 4 past West Ham United.

Gabriel Jesus started the match ahead of Aguero as the Argentinian could only manage a place on the bench. Yaya Toure, Silva and Leroy Sane all got starts. City took the lead in the 17th minute of the match after West Ham handed over possession on the half way line. Kevin De Bruyne started as well as finished the swift attacking move being assisted by  Jesus in the process.

The second goal for City was scored by David Silva after the neat work by Leroy Sane in and around the box. This goal was also a result of West Ham losing possession but to City pressure. The third goal was a complete replica of the second one. West Ham lost possession on the halfway line and City ultimately capitalized on the mistake to score their third goal of the night through Gabriel Jesus.

City got their fourth goal after Yaya Toure converted from the penalty spot as Raheem Sterling was brought down in the box. The was a rather cheap goal to give away as the Hammers were completely undone by a simple long ball by De Bruyne.

Jesus proved to be at the heart of everything City did on the night. He tormented the West Ham defenders. And if he lives up to the expectations then in the coming years he will definitely be the worthy successor to Sergio Aguero. And along with Sterling and Sane, the three formed a deadly combination and looked attacking with every move they made.

City are currently 5th in the table with 46 points tied on points with Liverpool who are in the 4th position.
