Chelsea could lose two key players to Juventus during the upcoming summer transfer window – as per reports.
Recently, Jorginho’s agent has hinted that the midfielder could move out of Stamford Bridge at the end of the season amidst strong rumours that Maurizio Sarri wants a reunion with him in Turin.
Joao Santos told Tuttomercatoweb: ‘Why not? I am sure that some important proposals will come, which we would obviously evaluate together with Chelsea.
‘Even personally, he is doing very well at Chelsea, and I am sure that some important proposals will come because in his role there are not many high-level players like him around.
‘His goal is the Europeans with the national team.
‘There are many expectations around [Roberto] Mancini’s team. The European Championship is also a good showcase.’
And now apart from Jorginho, reports suggest that full-back Emerson could also head out of Chelsea and move to Juventus next season.
The left-back has fallen down the pecking order during the past couple of months with Lampard preferring to use Cesar Azpiliceuta in his position despite the club captain being right-footed.
Hence Emerson has so far played in only 14 league games for Chelsea and as per the rumours, he wants to head out.
While Lampard will get a big transfer budget during the summer meaning he can splurge in order to bring in replacements for both Jorginho and Emerson but clearly losing two quality players will be a big blow.
Emerson has put in some fine performances for the London outfit whenever he’s played while Jorginho has slowly and steady cemented a regular spot in midfield under his new boss.
