Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is in his second season at the club and he is still trying to build his squad. And in order to so, he must bring a few more players during the summer.

But that can only be achieved by freeing up some space in the locker room hence Manchester United have decided to get rid of a few dead woods in their locker room.

According to reports, the trio of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Juan Mata and Marouane Fellaini might all be shown the door at Old Trafford as soon as the current season comes to an end.

While Mkhitaryan started the season brilliantly – clocking up a series of assists but as the season has progressed the Armenian has faded away at a much faster rate. So much so that he had not started a game in over a month. Juan Mata, on the other hand, has regularly featured in Jose Mourinho’s plans but the Spaniard is ageing at a rapid rate and is no longer a real threat like he used to be in Chelsea.

Marouane Fellaini is one player who has garnered very mixed reactions from the Old Trafford faithful. While some of his performances have been pivotal to Jose Mourinho and his plans, others have been so pathetic that he has been booed by his own fans.

Jose Mourinho is expected to make a couple of signing during the summer but clearly, the Manchester United management has told the Portuguese that he should before he can go out on the hunt for new players.
