Pundit names the main culprit during the Spurs vs Man United game: Agree or not?

Jose Mourinho

Spurs stuttered once again in the Premier League, this time losing to Manchester United at home. And according to Jamie Redknapp, Jose Mourinho should be the one standing in the middle of the fire.

Man United staged a superb comeback, something which has become a forte for Solskjaer’s side this season but according to the pundit, Jose Mourinho should stop blaming everyone else and take the blame for once.

‘What Jose has also done in this period is he’s made them a really tough watch,’ the former midfielder said on Sky Sports, as quoted by The Daily Mail.

‘You can say what you like about Spurs but they always been a good football team, they’ve always had a style. If Spurs fans were here right now watching that, they wouldn’t enjoy it one bit.

‘Too often I watch this side and there’s no flair or excitement. I don’t think this is a bad squad of players, I’ve said it before and I stand by it. Jose is looking at it and trying to blame everybody else, he has to take responsibility.

‘When you’re a good manager, you organise your team to get that result whatever it takes. A great manager would find a way to get them organised.

‘For them to be in a position they are right now, it’s not just the financial implications for the club with the stadium, and the assets like Dele Alli and Harry Winks. Having spent a bit of time at Spurs I know Daniel Levy will not like the fact that a lot of the players he’s got are devaluing assets, he hates that.

‘He wants to keep players’ assets so when it comes to selling they’re worth more than what you bought them for. When you just cast them aside like he does I don’t think it helps one bit.’

Man United will be flying high after this win but Tottenham are definitely on edge, falling six points behind the fourth spot going into this next weekend. And if Jose Mourinho cannot get Spurs into the Champions League next season then Daniel Levy might just be looking for alternatives.

Spurs will have the chance to win a silverware this season if they can beat Man City in the EFL Cup final but we doubt if the manager’s job will be saved if the Lilywhites are still dwindling in the Europa League next campaign.
