Chelsea have spent over £600m in transfers in the previous year but they are still ready to challenge for BVB’s Jude Bellingham, as per the Daily Telegraph.

The Blues have been on a spending spree under their new owners but it looks like they have no intentions of stopping. Liverpool, Manchester City and even Real Madrid are already keeping tabs on the young midfielder and Chelsea are now also in the mix.

Jude Bellingham is only 19-year-old but he’s already played 117 goals for Borussia Dortmund and he is currently one of the best central midfielders in the world. This season, he’s scored four and assisted four goals in 19 league games for Dortmund and chances are that he won’t remain in Germany beyond the summer.

His current contract with the club expires in the summer of 2025 but the way he is maturing, it will be almost impossible for Dortmund to hold onto him.

Manchester City and Liverpool have been heavily linked with Jude Bellingham and there’s a big chance that both these English sides are going to make a move for him at the end of this season. Real Madrid are also looking at the 19-year-old as the long-term replacement for Casemiro.

Chelsea have spent a huge amount of money on Enzo Fernandes during the January window so one would think that the Blues won’t need another central midfielder.

However, the latest reports are suggesting otherwise. As bizarre as it may sound but it makes sense cause several of the current midfielders are going to be sold by Chelsea.

Todd Boehly has not shied away from spending money since taking over and if Jude Bellingham is really interested in moving to England then surely Boehly is going to launch a bid.

Liverpool are said to be leading the race to sign the central midfielder but we are more than certain that the likes of Madrid, City and Chelsea are going to make life difficult for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

Jude Bellingham is currently valued at £98 million but any club that wants to sign him will have to shell out at least £120-130 million and if the right offer comes in then Borussia Dortmund will surely let him head out.
