Manchester United are amongst a number of top European clubs who are interested in signing Birmingham City midfielder Jude Bellingham – as per reports.

The player is just 16-year-old but this season he’s already played 35 games for the Championship side and it’s more than certain the teenager will be on his way out of the club as soon as the current season comes to an end.

Man United remain heavily interested in signing the midfielder and according to James Cooper, Solskjaer will try and lure in the Stourbridge born lad no matter what the situation with Paul Pogba is.

The reporter told Sky Sports: “Whatever happens with Pogba, it won’t interfere with United’s intentions to sign a player who’s been identified as one of the brightest young talents in world football.

“Again, it’s a deal in the balance with a host of Europe’s biggest clubs also interested in bringing in a player who’s made 35 first-team appearances as a 16-year-old and isn’t 17 until the end of June.

“United remain hopeful that a visit to Carrington and face-to-face discussions with the club’s power-brokers will convince the teenager and his parents to head to Old Trafford next season.

“I’m under the impression that, at this stage, the plan would be for him to be part of Solskjaer’s first-team squad rather than heading back to Birmingham on loan.

“From United’s point of view, and I’m sure it’s reflected among the Premier League’s biggest clubs, the next transfer window won’t be like anything we’ve seen previously because of the coronavirus pandemic.”

While Man United will be using all their might to try and convince Jude Bellingham to join them in the summer but we are not quite sure if they match up to the likes of Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

Both these German sides are said to be highly interested in signing the player and given the number of youngsters these clubs have nurtured over the past couple of seasons, there’s every chance Jude Bellingham could try and secure a move to Germany in order to further sharpen his skills.

But having said that Man United also boast a very long list of academy graduates who have taken their game to the next level but whichever team Jude Bellingham goes to in the summer, he will be demanding continuous game time and that is something Solskjaer might find it hard to promise.
