Gianluigi Buffon has entered his final season with Juventus and the club are now on the lookout for a suitable replacement for Gigi.

And according to Skysports, the Torino team has shortlisted Arsenal’s, Wojciech Szczesny. Skysports believes that the Italian giants have agreed on a deal with Arsenal to sign the Polish international for somewhere around 14 million pounds.

After Arsenal signed Petr Cech, Szczesny was sent on loan to Roma. And it looks as if his performance has caught the eye of Juve. Szczesny has played 38 games for the Italian outfit this season in the Serie A. And he has managed to keep 14 clean sheets.

With Cech becoming a first team regular for Wenger, Szczesny’s chances of breaking into the first team at Arsenal looks very slim. Hence he might very well move to Juventus. But having said that if Szczesny joins Juve then he will have to spend his first season under the shadows of Buffon who still has a year left on his contract.

But it will also be a learning curve for Szczesny with one of the top rated keepers in the world to give him guidance.

Wojciech Szczesny came up the ranks at Arsenal after joining the Gunners youth system in 2006. He made his first team debut in 2009 against West Brom in a League Cup tie. Since then he has gone to make 181 appearances for Arsenal.

But a bright start to his career was quickly engulfed by poor performances and indiscipline. He was even fined 20,000 pounds for smoking in the changing rooms after a match. This incident was a real blow to his Gunners career as he was benched for the rest of the season.

Arsenal then went on to sign Petr Cech from Chelsea just before the 2015-16 season. And this inevitably meant that Szczesny’s career at Arsenal was well and truly over. He was immediately loaned off to Roma and he has been with the Italian from that point onwards.
