Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk is without a doubt the best central defender in the world right now and as per reports, Juventus want to sign him during the summer.
Liverpool brought in Virgil Van Dijk in the January transfer window of 2018 from Southampton and the Reds look a completely different side with him in the starting line-up.
Jurgen Klopp chose to pay almost €85 million for the Dutch international which initially had raised a lot of eyebrows but as things stand, the defender is Jurgen Klopp’s most valuable asset.
And maybe this is why Juventus are preparing a humungous bid to sign Virgil Van Dijk from Liverpool at the end of the 2019-20 season.
Van Dijk is under contract at Liverpool until 2023 and is about to win his maiden Premier League title with the Reds. So there’s a very small chance that the player would want to move out of the club in the near future.
But right now, Juventus have the services of Matthijs de Ligt, Van Dijk’s international partner and some experts believe that the Liverpool defender might want to secure a move out of the club in hopes of playing with the youngster.
TransferMarkt currently values Virgil Van Dijk at around €100 million which would once again make him the most expensive defender in the world.
But having said that, it would really take something special for Juventus to lure the centre-back out of Liverpool especially when the Reds still are being managed by Jurgen Klopp.
