Kingfisher East Bengal narrowly edged past DSK Shivajians in their second Hero I League away match in Pune.

East Bengal took the lead from a 14th-minute penalty through Wedson Anselme. The visitors went into half-time with their lead intact. But it was Gouramangi Singh who equalised for the Shivajians in the 64th minute. An excellent display in-goal from Anganba for DSK Shivajians kept the hosts in the game. But Willis Deon Plaza equalised for the visitor with ten minutes left on the clock.

The performance from the red and gold brigade was much better and dominating compared to what they put out in their first match against Aizawl F.C. The win takes the Kolkata club third in the league table, just below leaders Bengaluru F.C. followed by Mohun Bagan.

Both Bengaluru and Mohun Bagan have their next games in their own home, while East Bengal have to travel away to face Churchill Brothers.
