Rangers FC duo Lee Wallace and Kenny Miller have won an appeal to the SPFL regarding the disciplinary action that the club took against them.

And while at first, this might seem good news but there’s plenty of reason to believe that the news is nothing but bad for Wallace.

Kenny Miller and Wallace were suspended by Rangers due to an alleged altercation with manager Graeme Murty last season and subsequently, the duo was fined four weeks’ wages by Rangers.

But Wallace and Miller were not particularly happy with the way the Light Blues had dealt with the situation due to which they had appealed to the SPFL.

Yes, they have won that appeal but things do not look too pleasant for the left-back Lee Wallace.

Kenny Miller left the club at the end of the season after his contract with the club expired claiming that he wanted to focus on his career but Lee Wallace though stayed back and decided to fight for his place in the squad.

And this was backed by the new manager Steven Gerrard who claimed that Lee Wallace would be welcomed back to the team once he settled his issues with the board.

Now though, the Gers’ management have released a statement after Miller and Lee Wallace won the appeal and it seems Wallace needs to find a new club asap.

In a statement released by Rangers, a club spokesperson said: “The club is surprised by the decision of the SPFL’s Tribunal on this matter and disappointed that the decision seems to have been leaked before the club were advised of it by the SPFL.

“Decisions on such matters deal largely with procedural issues, not the conduct which gave rise to the club’s sanctions.

“The club was only presented with a 40 plus page decision after 4 pm this afternoon (Wednesday) and will now take some time to consider matters before deciding how to proceed.”

This statement clearly shows that Rangers are not too happy with the decision of the SPFL and wanted the punishment to be upheld which means that the relationship between Lee Wallace and the board has soured even more.

So in such a scenario, it is pretty difficult to imagine the left-back making his way back into the first team squad more so when Steven Gerrard has made proper signings to fill up his void.

Our best guess is that Lee Wallace will remain with the club atleast till the end of the new year after which he will be promptly sold off.
