Chelsea’s 25-year-old keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is on the transfer radar of La Liga side Valencia – as per a report in Sport.

The Blues paid £71million for his services back in 2018 making Kepa the world’s most expensive keeper but this season, the Spaniard has really struggled in front of the posts – making a series of really novice errors.

And now as per Sport, the shot-stopper could head back to Spain as they claim: “The Spanish goalkeeper could leave in the summer and Valencia are one of the interested clubs.

“Jasper Cillessen is likely to leave and Kepa has been linked with Los Che, who also may sign Neto, their former keeper who joined Barca last summer.”

Does Lampard have a backup to Kepa Arrizabalaga?

Frank Lampard will be more than happy to see Kepa Arrizabalaga move out of Stamford Bridge but the manager will want to recoup as much of the transfer fee paid by the club as possible.

The player is currently valued at €32 million by TransferMarkt which is a bit low as per Chelsea’s liking but is perfect in terms of Valencia.

Another big reason why Chelsea will take their own sweet time in offloading Kepa is that Lampard will need to bring in a replacement before he can let the Spaniard head back home.

Over the past couple of months, Chelsea have been linked with keepers like Nick Pope and Andre Onana but they are yet to make any sort of formal offer for them.

Burnley have put a really big price tag on Pope’s shoulders meaning Chelsea might have to wrap up this transfer by paying a significant amount out of their own pockets.

But as far as the Ajax keeper is concerned, he is well within Lampard’s reach. As per some reports, the Dutch side will let Andre Onana leave if an interested club is ready to pay around £25 million for the 24-year-old.
