Man City receive a double injury boost ahead of their clash against Leicester: Both of them to start?

Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden have been on the sidelines with an injury but as per the latest updates, both of them are back to full fitness.

Man City take on Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday and the pair are likely to feature in the squad when Guardiola’s side travel to the King Power.

Manchester Evening News are claiming: “Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne are set to return to training for Manchester City – and could even be on the subs’ bench for Saturday’s trip to Leicester.

“De Bruyne is expected back in training, and could also be in line to sit beside Foden on the bench at the King Power Stadium, with City’s attacking complement almost back up to full capacity.”

Phil Foden has been out of action since sustaining a foot injury at the European Championships with England and he’s taken a long time to make his full recovery.

The injury was more serious than it was earlier anticipated so we don’t think Pep Guardiola will risk throwing him onto the pitch on Saturday.

He is likely to remain an unused sub against Leicester City but playmaker Kevin De Bruyne should be getting some game time.

Jack Grealish is once again going to play in the No 10 role but De Bruyne is likely to come on as a sub in the second half.

Grealish is playing for England during the international break so he will not be allowed the full 90 minutes against Leicester City. Also, Man City will take on RB Leipzig in the Champions League next week.

Manchester City have done perfectly fine without both Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne in their squad but now that the games are coming thick and fast Pep Guardiola will want to make some rotations to his starting line ups.
