Arsenal have been trying hard to sign Kieran Tierney from Celtic FC this summer transfer window – as per reports.

But it looks like the Bhoys are not too eager to part ways with the young left-back.

Celtic have demanded a transfer fee of around £25 million in order to release Kieran Tierney and everyone was pretty sure that Arsenal would pay the fee without much fuss.

But Unai Emery’s men instead chose to make an initial offer of just £15 million which was swiftly rejected by the Glasgow outfit.

Some rumours though claimed that the Gunners were only testing Celtic’s resolve with their first bid and that they had already made a second bid for Kieran Tierney which was in the region of £20 million.

And this time Arsenal were pretty confident that the Bhoys would agree to the transfer.

But earlier this week, Neil Lennon came out to rubbish the rumours of a second bid and also added that they have no intentions of letting Kieran Tierney leave for cheap.

Lennon said: “Not that I’m aware of(a second bid). Arsenal are aware of what we value the player at. He’s on a long-term contract, he’s an asset and we don’t want to sell him.

“It’s going to have to take a lot more than what they’ve offered the first time around to give us a decision to make.

“I’ve had a chat with him as it can be a difficult decision and bit unsettling. I’ve been there myself so it’s important that we support him regardless of the outcome.”

With the myth of a second bid being busted the Daily Record are now claiming that Arsenal have made a second bid for Kieran Tierney on Thursday.

And as per the report, the second bid will be for £19 million.

This amount is still way short that what the Bhoys are demanding and also every major expert has suggested Neil Lennon to squeeze out as much money as possible from the Kieran Tierney transfer.

It is unclear, how much Unai Emery is actually will to spend for the left-back but some rumours have claimed that the Gunners boss is ready to send one of his youngsters out on loan to Celtic in order to urge Celtic to take a nominal fee for Kieran Tierney.
