So far Arsenal have made two official bids to sign Kieran Tierney from Celtic but the club have rejected both these offers.

Celtic have demanded a transfer fee of £25 million for the left-back while Arsenal’s first bid was in the region of £15 million so it was bound to be rejected.

The second big was reported to be closer to what the Bhoys had been demanding but still, Lennon’s side refused to let Kieran Tierney leave.

But now it looks like Celtic have finally caved into the pressure and Football Insider are reporting that Kieran Tierney has agreed on personal terms with Arsenal.

They have also gone on to reveal that the youngster will receive a substantial pay rise once he moves to the Emirates.

The report reads: “Kieran Tierney is close to joining Arsenal from Celtic in a deal worth nearly £45million in fee and wages, Football Insider has learned.

“The Scottish giants have held extensive talks over the transfer of the left-back, 22, and a third official bid of £25million is set to be tabled by the Londoners in the coming days that will finally secure an agreement.

“An Arsenal source has told Football Insider that Tierney has agreed personal terms with the club, including a bumper signing-on fee and a five-year contract that will triple his wages to £75,000-a-week.”

If this report holds true then Arsenal should be able to wrap up the Kieran Tierney transfer before the end of this week.

But just a couple of days ago it looked like the Premier League club would miss out on the player since Napoli were being dubbed the favourites to land him.

This though quickly changed when Carlo Ancelotti made it clear over the weekend that his club had no plans of signing Kieran Tierney.

‘Honestly, I’m not interested in signing him,’ Ancelotti said(via the Metro).

‘He is a really good young left-back but he is a Celtic player.

‘We are looking for a lot of players for this coming season but he is a Celtic player and we have two good left-backs. But honestly, I can say he is a really good player.’
