England Harry Maguire and Kieran Trippier

Kieran Trippier has been a revelation for Atletico Madrid ever since his move to Spain from England in 2019 and according to The Athletic, the full-back is keen to return to the Premier League.

Simeone’s side paid on £19.8 million for the right-back and he’s turned out to be a major bargain buy for the Madrid outfit. This season he has played in 27 La Liga matches for the club but with his contract coming to an end, the England international is keen to head back home.

Kieran Trippier is about to enter the final year of his contract so if Atletico Madrid cannot make him sign a new deal then they will have no other option but to cash in on him during the summer transfer window.

David Ornstein of The Athletic claims Everton and even Manchester United have shown an interest in signing the right-back and both of them could make a move for him as soon as the current season ends.

The two Premier League sides aren’t the only clubs keen to sign Kieran Trippier since European giants PSG have also registered an interest in him.

Kieran Trippier not likely to join Man United or Everton?

With clubs like Everton and Manchester United interested in him, the former Tottenham Hotspur man will have no shortage of takers if he decides to move to England in the summer.

But according to former Everton man Marcus Bent, a move to Everton might not actually work out for the 30-year-old.

Bent told The Transfer Tavern: “The only problem with that is if Trippier came in he probably wouldn’t be guaranteed a starting place because Coleman is doing brilliant and he is good on and off the pitch for the club, but they know he won’t be able to keep going forever.

“It’s about finding that halfway line where you can bring in a talented player that does expect to play but not every week.”

Kieran Trippier could face a similar kind of problem at Manchester United as well since Aaron Wan-Bissaka has done brilliantly this season so the Atletico Madrid man will not be a guaranteed starter for the Old Trafford club next campaign.

We are pretty sure the forward will look for consistent game time and also top-level European football next season and right now Everton, as well as Manchester United, cannot offer both these luxuries at the same time.

PSG are certainly ahead if both these commitments were to be made but also on top of that, they are currently being managed by Mauricio Pochettino – a man who brought the best out of Kieran Trippier when he was playing for Tottenham Hotspur.
