Premier League side Manchester United are not likely to make a move for Atletico Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier during the January transfer window, according to MEN.
The report suggests: “Manchester United shelved plans for a move for Atletico Madrid right-back Kieran Trippier this month amid uncertainty over the outcome of his worldwide ban for breaching betting rules.
“Trippier, 30, was given a 10-week ban and fined £70,000 by the Football Association on December 23 but the suspension has been put on hold, pending an appeal, and Trippier started in Atletico’s 2-0 win over Sevilla on Tuesday night.
“The MEN understands Trippier’s suspension scuppered a potential mid-season move to United, who remain admirers of the England international.”

We can understand why Man United are not making a move for Kieran Trippier this month since if his ban is upheld then he will be useless for the remainder of the season.
The England international is the perfect player to try and compete with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Man United are sure to make a move for him at the end of the 2020-21 season.
Kieran Trippier is wanting to come back to England but until his ban situation is not sorted out, it seems like the right-back will have to fulfil his commitments at Atletico Madrid.
Man United currently have Timothy Fosu-Mensah as their backup to Wan-Bissak but at the time of writing this article, the 23-year-old is on the way to join German side Bayer Leverkusen on a permanent deal.
UPDATE: Fosu-Mensah has officially secured a move out of Manchester United.
