If the recent reports are anything to go by then a series of top clubs want to sign Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman before deadline day.

Barcelona are struggling to land Nico Williams so they are now looking at Coman as a viable alternative while on the other hand, Manchester City along with PSG are also strong contenders in this transfer race.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Bayern have to urgently balance their books which is why they are ready to let Kingsley Coman leave on a loan deal with an option to buy and this decision will be very tempting for a team like Barcelona who are facing major financial problems this summer.

Coman has been with Bayern Munich since 2015, first as a loan player and then as a permanent member. Over the years, he has featured in 294 games for Bayern, scoring 63 and assisting 66 goals. He is primarily a left-winger but the French international can also play on the right wing and a secondary striker.

He’s been a really important player for Bayern but owing to five different injury problems, Kingsley Coman played only 27 games for the club last season. Overall, he missed 21 games across all competitions.

Will Kingsley Coman snub major European interests and join the Saudi Pro League?

Up until now, Barcelona have been mentioned as one of the favourites to land the winger followed by PSG however, Saudi newspaper Al Yaum(as quoted by Goal) are claiming that Al-Ahli have decided to join the transfer race.

The entry of Al-Ahli is going to make things really interesting because the Middle Eastern team can offer all sorts of crazy amounts to put Barca, PSG and Man City out of the equation.

The fact that Bayern Munich are ready to send him out on loan will keep Barcelona’s hopes high but in the end, Kingsley Coman might actually opt to join Manchester City.

Even though at City Kingsley Coman will face a lot of competition from the likes of Doku and Grealish, the French international has been keen to play in the Premier League and this could put Manchester City in the driver’s seat.

Also, MCFC are planning to get rid of Jack Grealish and if the England international leaves in the coming weeks then Kingsley Coman will be the ideal replacement.

Barcelona would also love to have Coman on board but they are still trying to sign Nico Williams who is priority number one for Hansi Flick. If they get positive vibes that Williams will end up at Camp Nou before deadline day then they won’t make any formal moves for the Bayern winger.

Al-Ahli’s entry might look ominous for the three European giants but the only way they will be able to jump the queue is by outbidding the other suitors by a substantial difference. Also, they can offer to sign Kingsley Coman on a loan deal with an obligation to buy clause at the end of the term.
