West Ham United and Aston Villa are reportedly interested in signing Krzysztof Piatek from AC Milan – as per reports.

Krzysztof Piatek joined Milan in January of last year from Genoa for a hefty transfer price but it looks like his career at the club within just a year.

Milan have brought in Ibrahimovic this month which means Piatek has fallen down the pecking order and some rumours claim that the club are willing to let him leave.

And it looks like the English Premier League could be his next destination.

Krzysztof Piatek has played in 18 Serie A games so far during the 2019-20 season but has managed to find the net only four times which is a clear indication that Milan will not try to hold onto him.

But as far as West Ham and Villa are concerned, both these teams could do with a player like Krzysztof Piatek since they still need to get back into the top half of the table.

Both the clubs are just about the relegation zone and one of their major problems has been scoring goals.

And if this report holds true then it will surely be a big blow for Newcastle United since they have been keeping tabs on the player for a long time now.

Steve Bruce is another manager who has had major striker issues during the first half of the season and major publications have claimed that the Magpies boss has been eyeing a move for Piatek in order to solve his issues.

But now with the Hammers and Villa entering the race the signing of Krzysztof Piatek will purely depend on two factors.

The first one will be a battle of finances since AC Milan will obviously sell their out of favour striker to the highest bidder.

And the second and perhaps the most important factor will be the choice of Krzysztof Piatek in case he is serious about moving out of Italy this month.

UPDATE(8th January 2020):

As per the latest news coming out of Italy, Krzysztof Piatek has already rejected offers from clubs like Genoa and Crystal Palace. And the reason behind is that he does not want to join a smaller club.

As per the report, Piatek will only move out of Milan in order to join a big club and this is where the likes of Newcastle, Aston Villa and West Ham United should be really worried.

All of these clubs hold an interest in the forward but unfortunately, they all are dangling in the bottom half of the table. So it would really take a strong motive for Piatek to leave AC Milan and join the following three clubs.
