Everton are eyeing two Chelsea defenders this summer: Does Marco Silva want to sign them both?

Kurt Zouma spent the 2018-19 season out on loan to Everton and the Toffees reportedly want to bring him back to Goodison Park.

The centre-back joined Chelsea in 2014 from St Etienne but since then the 24-year-old has been struggling to find a permanent place in the Blues’ backline.

When he was sent out on loan to Everton, everyone thought that his career graph was on the decline but instead he ended up having a fine season at Goodison Park.

Last season he featured in 32 Premier League games for Everton scoring two goals and assisting two and it seems like Frank Lampard has some major plans for him.

The Blues are currently under a transfer ban which means Lampard will not be able to make any new signings.

But still, Everton has been hoping that the Blues will let Kurt Zouma leave the club.

A couple of weeks ago it was reported that Chelsea would agree to let the defender move back to the Merseyside this summer but it looks like the deal is taking longer than expected.

While the Blues have still not refused to Everton’s offer but they are certainly taking their time which in turn is making Marco Silva restless.

And as per Sky Sports, Silva is planning to make a move for Chelsea’s Fikayo Tomori as a back-up to Kurt Zouma.

“Everton are exploring moves for Southampton’s Mario Lemina and Chelsea’s Fikayo Tomori, Sky Sports News understands.

“Everton are also in the market for a centre-back. Their first choice would be to re-sign Kurt Zouma but, with the deal stalling, they are considering England Under-21 international Tomori instead.”

Fikayo Tomori, 21 is regarded as a fine talent and last season he spent time at Derby County under the watchful eyes of Frank Lampard.

And if Everton do miss out on Kurt Zouma then it should not be a big headache to sign Fikayo Tomori instead since the England U21 international is not likely to feature under for the first XI next season.
