Lautaro Martinez Inter Milan

Premier League side Arsenal have already been linked with Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez and as per the Mail, Spurs have also joined this transfer race.

Martinez is under contract with Inter until the summer of 2026 but there’s a chance that he could be moving out in the summer if a club is ready to pay around £67 million. He has been brilliant with Inter in the past few seasons and this campaign, the 24-year-old has already netted 14 goals in 28 league matches.

Both the North London sides will be out in the market looking for a new centre-forward during the upcoming transfer window and the whisper in Italy is that both these teams are likely to make a move for Lautaro Martinez.

Do Spurs have a chance at signing Lautaro Martinez?

Lautaro Martinez is out of contract in 2026 so Inter are in no hurry to sell the striker but the experts claim that if a club is ready to match the Serie A side’s demands then they will not hesitate to cash in.

£67 million is a very practical figure for both Spurs as well as Arsenal but there’s a chance that Tottenham could take the lead in this race because of their manager Antonio Conte.

Martinez has played under Conte hence the pair share a very good relationship and Spurs will look to use this link to get a deal done. If the centre-forward is moving to a new league he will most likely want to play under someone who knows him and his style really well.

Can Arsenal make a case for themselves?

Lacazette and Nketiah are going to leave in the summer so signing a striker is of the utmost priority for Mikel Arteta.

Arsenal have done great during the second half of the season and if they can secure a Champions League spot then there’s a great chance that the Gunners can leap-frog over Spurs.

If Spurs cannot get back into the Champions League we doubt if Lautaro Martinez will want to join them.

Also, at Arsenal, the 24-year-old will be unchallenged for the striker’s role but at Spurs, this arrangement will only be possible if Harry Kane heads for the exit door.

Levy is possibly looking at Lautaro Martinez as a replacement for Kane and Tottenham will go after the Inter man only if Harry Kane is leaving.
