Leeds & Newcastle on high alter with Lampard ready to send this player out on loan: Who’ll sign him?

Fikayo Tomori, Kante & Wijnaldum Liverpool vs Chelsea

Premier League sides Leeds United and Newcastle United have been put on high alert after Chelsea boss Frank Lampard confirmed that defender Fikayo Tomori is expected to move out on loan this month.

Last season Tomori was a regular feature in the starting XI but this campaign, the 23-year-old has fallen down the pecking order due to the arrival of Thiago Silva. And it seems like he is going to spend the remainder of the season at another club.

Lampard said, as reported: “The situation with Fikayo is open at the moment. There is a possibility he could be going on loan to get games somewhere else.

“So that would have to be the solution for him and the club. That was part of my thinking of not starting him today.

“I gave him some minutes at the end but while we were looking at that I wanted to make sure it was the right thing for the club and for him and individually. So that’s why he didn’t start.

“But his attitude, even though he hasn’t played much recently, has been fantastic in training and in how he is.”

A few non-English clubs have also been linked with Fikayo Tomori over the past few weeks but with Leeds United and Newcastle interested in signing him, we don’t think the youngster would want to move out of the Premier League.

Leeds United have been playing some pretty good football under Marcelo Bielsa and the Chelsea academy lad can surely learn a few things if he chooses to join the Elland Road outfit.

Lampard would not mind loaning the central defender to one of the Premier League clubs so it’s now up to Tomori to choose the club at which he would want to finish the 2020-21 season with.
