Leicester City were shockingly knocked out of the Europa League despite naming a relatively strong side against Slavia Prague. But Rodgers’ men will have no time to sulk since they take on Arsenal at home this weekend in the Premier League.

The Foxes are currently third on the league table – ten points behind league leaders Man City meaning they will need to pick up a win against the Gunners if they need even an outside chance to challenge for the league title.

Leicester are undefeated in 11 of their last 12 matches but they have almost half-a-dozen injury concerns going into this match which could force Brendan Rodgers to tinker with his line up a little bit.

Arsenal have been in relatively poor form themselves which is why the Foxes will be favourites going into this game and everyone is expecting them to pick up all three points on Sunday.

Leicester City team news vs Arsenal:

Jonny Evans and Soyuncu have been playing at centre-back for Leicester and the pair will reprise their role against the Gunners as well. Wes Morgan and James Justin remain long-term injuries.

Ricardo Pereira and Castagne were both rested in midweek but the two full-backs will come back into this side this weekend.

Brendan Rodgers played with a 4-1-4-1 formation against Slavia Prague in midweek meaning Ndidi played as the lone defensive midfielder. But on Sunday, the manager should revert back to his usual formation and this will see Tielemans join Ndidi in defensive midfield.

The Leicester City manager is currently sweating over the fitness of James Maddison and as per the latest updates, the player is not likely to be fit for the Arsenal game.

This means Harvey Barnes and Mark Albrighton will play out wide as Mendy could come into the starting line-up.

With Maddison out of the equation, there will not a dedicated attacking midfielder in the side and when in defence, Leicester City could form a five-man midfield block.

Hamza Choudhury started against Slavia Prague in the Europa League but he will drop back to the bench while Jamie Vardy retains his place up front.

Rodgers is very limited in attack with Ayoze Perez out with a knee injury. Iheanacho is the one top class forward who will be available on the bench when Leicester City take on Arsenal.

Leicester’s predicted line-up vs Arsenal:

Predicted Line-up: Schmeichel; Soyuncu, Evans, Pereira, Castagne; Ndidi, Tielemans, Mendy; Barnes, Albrighton, Jamie Vardy.
