Leicester City have won both their Premier League matches so far as a result of which they now sit at the top of the league table.

But next up, they will have to shift their focus onto the EFL Cup where they take on Arsenal in the third round at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester have won their last three home matches against Arsenal and given the kind of form they are in right now, Brendan Rodgers will be hoping to knock the Gunners out of this tournament.

The Leicester City manager does not have too many injuries to deal with but he is expected to rely on heavy rotation, more so since they will take on Manchester City in the league next weekend.

Leicester City team news vs Arsenal:

Rodgers might opt for a change in formation as he could look to use a three-man back line with Wes Morgan and Christian Fuchs possibly coming into the side.

Jonny Evans is still serving his three-match ban meaning he’s unavailable for selection.

Nampalys Mendy will move to the bench to make way for Wilfred Ndidi while Hamza Choudhury also comes into the side in central midfield.

James Maddison came on as a sub during Leicester’s win over Burnley in the league this past weekend but he’s a guaranteed starter in midweek against Arsenal.

If Brendan Rodgers opts for a 3-5-2 formation then Ayoze Perez and Barnes will hopefully both move to the substitutes bench.

Leicester City scored four goals vs Burnley during the weekend but Jamie Vardy could not put his name on the scoresheet. But the prolific striker will be eager to get things going against Arsenal.

Kelechi Iheancho remained an unused sub during the weekend during the Foxes’ league win but Rodgers is likely to name him in the starting XI, alongside Jamie Vardy.
