At the start of the season, Leicester City were one of the candidates to finish in the top six but as the season has rolled along, the Foxes have seen a massive dip in form.

Right now, they are 10th on the Premier League table and they can fall even further because next up, they take on Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Foxes have won three out of their previous five matches across all competitions but they go into Saturday’s with several injury doubts so Brendan Rodgers will have a significantly reduced bench.

Three points this weekend will help them climb to the 9th spot at best but a loss will be a disaster for Leicester because then they could very well end the matchweek on the 13th position.

Leicester City’s team news vs Manchester United:

The manager has a number of injury concerns going into Saturday’s game and the first major blow is that of Wilfred Ndidi.

Rodgers has revealed that Ndidi’s knee injury is serious and he is ruled out for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.

Rodgers told the press: “Wilfred Ndidi unfortunately will be out for the season, it’s a shame for us but he’ll get ready for next season. It’s unfortunate.

“He’s been a brilliant player for me in my time here. He picked up a nasty injury that he’s had to have surgery on and he’ll recover now until June.”

Jonny Evans though will be available for selection against his former side as he’s fully recovered from his hamstring injury.

The boss added: “Jonny Evans will be available, whether he plays the whole game, or not, or starts or comes off the bench we’ll see.

“Jonny Evans is a player who’s been a huge influence in my time here. He’s a player that’s played at the very top level of his game through his career. He has the view of the very highest level, and not only that, he practices that every day.”

Like Evans, Wesley Fofana is also back in contention but Luke Thomas has picked up an injury with England Under-21s while Jamie Vardy remains sidelined with a knee issue.

“We’ll see [about Vardy], day by day really. He’s not ready for weekend, but we’ll assess it over the next week to two weeks,” the Leicester City boss said.

With Vardy set to miss out, Iheanacho will continue as the main centre-forward with James Maddison and Harvey Barnes playing as the two wide players.

Leicester City predicted line up vs Man United:
