Leicester City at one point in time were the favourites to finish in the top four of the Premier League but with one game left to play, they suddenly find themselves on the fifth spot.

Liverpool overtook Leicester thanks to their superior goal difference so if the Foxes need to get back into the top four then either Liverpool or Chelsea have to lose on Sunday or Rodgers’ side will have to ensure that they beat Tottenham Hotspur with a very absurd scoreline.

The Foxes have just won the FA Cup but if they fail to qualify for the Champions League next season, it will be a massive blow for them.

Brendan Rodgers’ side have not done much wrong in the past few weeks and the manager will be hoping his side can come up with an ace performance against Spurs, especially since the Lilywhites already have their back against the wall. Liverpool or Chelsea will need to drop points on Sunday for Leicester City to have a chance to reenter the top-four but before all that, they must ensure that they don’t falter themselves.

Leicester City team news vs Spurs:

Jonny Evans has failed to recover from his injury and will not be ready for Sunday so Fofana and Soyuncu will pair up with Castagne in the three-man defensive line.

“Jonny will miss out,” the Leicester boss told the media on Friday. “Everyone else that was available the other night will be available for this game.”

Ndidi and Tielemans have been the first-choice defensive midfield pairing for Leicester this season and they are going to reprise their role on Sunday as well.

The attacking midfielder’s role could prove to be a bit of a headache for the manager since James Maddison has just come back from injury and is yet to hit peak form. Ayoze Perez, on the other hand, has been in very decent nick.

It will be interesting to see who gets the nod in the No 10 role against Tottenham.

Albrighton has been playing as the right wing-back for the past few matches but this time around we expect Ricardo Pereira to be called back into the side.

Iheanacho came off the bench in midweek during that 2-1 loss to Chelsea but the forward is going to get his starting role back on Sunday, featuring alongside Jamie Vardy up front.
