Alfredo Morelos has been a key player for Rangers ever since he joined the Gers from Helsinki back in 2017. But it’s no secret the player wants to head out of the Premiership asap and play in the English Premier League.

During the summer, there were a number of clubs interested in signing the South American but somehow Steven Gerrard managed to keep hold of him.

Now though with the January transfer window just around the corner, rumours have once again started circulating that Alfredo Morelos will try and force his way out of the club.

And one of the clubs which has been constantly linked with the striker is Premier League club Leicester City.

The Foxes are currently being managed by Brendan Rodgers who is well aware of the talent that Alfredo Morelos possess after having observed him closely while he was managing Celtic FC.

Leicester City were one of the clubs interested in signing Alfredo Morelos and it always seemed like they will make a move once again at the start of the new year.

Now though the latest updates claim Brendan Rodgers is not interested in signing Morelos and the club are not preparing a bid to sign him during the January transfer window.

Right now the Foxes are second on the league table and are playing some of the finest football amongst the top 10 sides but many believed the addition of Alfredo Morelos would have added more spark to their attacking third.

But it seems, Rodgers is not too keen on making any major changes to his first XI during the middle of the season which is why he might have chosen not to bid for Morelos at the start of the new year.

While Leicester might have eased their interests in Alfredo Morelos for the time being but if the Colombian does not leave Rangers before the end of the current season then there’s every possibility that the Foxes might reignite their interest next summer.
