Liverpool could receive a triple injury boost for their PL clash vs Chelsea: Advantage Klopp?

Liverpool got back to winning ways this weekend beating Sheffield United in the Premier League but Klopp will need to get his side ready for another high-profile fixture.

Next up, the Anfield outfit take on Chelsea at home on Thursday night and the Reds boss could see the return of some key players for this match.

Alisson Becker was left out of the Blades game on compassionate grounds and the manager has confirmed that he along with Fabinho are almost sure to feature in the matchday squad against the Blues.

Diogo Jota has also returned to full fitness after a long injury lay-off and Klopp has hinted that he too could play a role in midweek.

Klopp said, as per Liverpool’s official website: “Alisson and Fabinho, I’m pretty sure [will be available].

“With Diogo, he was with us in the hotel, but he got sick overnight and we had to send him home. It depends how quick he will recover, obviously.

“He was in the squad and as I said before, he trained with the team and it all looked really good but unfortunately he got sick overnight. I think he will be available, but I don’t know.”

The return of Fabinho and Diogo Jota will be a massive boost for the Liverpool boss since the manager is really short of options in both those areas.

With Van Dijk, Matip and Joe Gomez all out with injuries, Klopp is really struggling to find a constant centre-back partnership. Now, The Athletic are claiming that Ben Davies might have also picked up an injury.

So with Fabinho returning, the Brazilian could slot right into central defence alongside Kabak.

Jota could also play a key role against Chelsea if he is available for selection with Roberto Firmino really struggling to find the back of the net.
