Liverpool have hurriedly brought in a new physiotherapist to their backroom squad in a bid to make sure that all his injured players are fit in time for the Champions League final, reports The Athletic.

The likes of Mo Salah, Van Dijk and Fabinho had all picked up injuries during the FA Cup final and while they should be fit in a week’s time but as per David Ornstein, Klopp is taking no chances.

He has claimed that Liverpool were eventually looking to bring back physiotherapist Christopher Rohrbeck but now with this sudden injury crisis, the club has fast-tracked his reappointment.

Ornstein wrote in his article: “The Athletic understands physiotherapist Christopher Rohrbeck is set to return to Anfield with immediate effect, in a move driven by Klopp two years after his fellow German originally departed.

“Physio Christopher Rohrbeck is set to return to Anfield. During his previous spell, it is thought Rohrbeck was extremely popular in the dressing room and those he is believed to have worked most closely with include the star pair of Salah & Van Dijk.”

How long with the three Liverpool players be unavailable?

Well, the good news for the Liverpool fans is that the injuries to Mo Salah and Van Dijk are not serious with Klopp revealing that both of them should be back in action for the Wolves game next weekend.

He had told the press: “They are both OK. So, the target would be for both that they can be involved again on the weekend. Properly involved, bench or whatever and a few minutes or start, I don’t know, we will see that, because that would then be perfect for the game [Champions League final].”

Fabinho’s injury might be a bit of a headache for the Liverpool boss because his return date cannot be determined yet which means he will touch and go for the Champions League final.

The midfielder still has close to two weeks to make a full recovery but in case he misses the final then Real Madrid will definitely have a slight edge. Henderson will probably play in defensive midfield in case of Fabinho’s absence and we are not sure the England international has the requisite skill-set to keep players like Modric and Kroos at bay.
