Liverpool take on Burnley in their next Premier League game and according to Jurgen Klopp, his players need to focus on two things if they wish to sign beat Sean Dyche’s side.

Burnley came up with a stellar performance to pick up a point against Manchester United last week and there are whispers that they could put Liverpool under some pressure, especially since the Anfield outfit will have to play in the Champions League next season.

“I had the pleasure to watch Burnley against [Manchester] United. This situation explains the Premier League the best,” he said, as per talkSPORT.

“The quality they produced was incredible. It was a proper team performance. There is a big possibility for them to still stay in the league.

“They brought in a new striker [Wout Weghorst]. If you saw the game, you would have seen he is a lively boy. He was very active all over the pitch.

“Burnley ask for all physicality you can put in a game, we cannot have the ball all the time and they are good when they have the ball.

“They have footballers everywhere. On top of that, the set-piece threat, we have to be aware and concentrated.”

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will have one eye on the Inter Milan game and keeping that match in mind, the German might look to rest some players on Sunday.

On paper, the Anfield outfit are the favourites to pick up a win but the way Burnley played against Manchester United, there’s no way we can write Sean Dyche’s off.

If Klopp is planning to rest some of his regular starters then there’s every chance that Burnley can perform a perfect smash and grab.

Also, Manchester City beat Norwich City on Saturday so the pressure will be on Liverpool to keep up the pace and this could be another reason why Salah and co might stutter under Burnley’s brute strength.

Going into Sunday’s game, Liverpool are 12 points behind Pep Guardiola’s side but they have two games in hand.
