Liverpool have been on a roll this season in the Premier League and their latest success has come at the home of their arch-rivals Manchester United.

Jurgen Klopp has led a side to Old Trafford and beat them 5-0. Yes, 5-0 against a team that boasts some of the best players in the world.

Liverpool took charge of the match from the very first minute and apart from an early Fernandes chance, the visitors really had nothing to worry about. This win means they are now just one point behind league leaders Chelsea and haven’t lost even a single match so far in the league.

The Anfield outfit were obviously the favourites to win on Sunday but no was expected them to be so dominant. A few goals did come due to Man United’s defensive errors but we can take nothing away from Klopp’s side.

Liverpool player ratings vs Man United:

Alisson: 7/10

The Brazilian had very little to do and was a spectator for most of the match, making occasional saves here and there.

Van Dijk: 7/10

Van Dijk made four clearances and won one duel but the likes of Ronaldo and Fernandes hardly troubled the Dutch international. The defender was mostly acting as a sweeper and helping to start play from the back.

Konate: 7.2/10

The summer signing was selected ahead of Joe Matip and he did not disappoint his manager one bit. Helped marshal the backline perfectly and was also able to negate the ariel threats.

Alexander-Arnold: 8.2/10

TAA was more involved in attack than in defence, providing an assist. Since Man United were pinned in their own half for most of the game, the full-back was doubling up with Mo Salah on the right wing.

Robertson: 8/10

Andy Roberston also had a wonderful outing even though he could not conjure up too much on the left-hand side.

Henderson: 8.5/10

Henderson was used as the defensive midfielder ahead of Fabinho and the England international came out with flying colours. He bossed both Fred and McTominay in the middle of the pitch, giving them a proper lesson on how to play in a high-intensity match.

Naby Keita: 8/10

Keita was one of the stars of the show for Liverpool, scoring one and assisting one for the visiting side. Unfortunately, he had to be stretchered off with an injury but hopefully, it’s not serious.

James Milner: 6/10

Age seemed to have caught up with James Milner as he went down with what looked like a hamstring injury and had to be replaced by Curtis Jones in the 27th minute. The midfielder did not have much to provide while he was on the pitch.

Mo Salah: 9.7/10

The Egyptian ended the match with an assist and a hat-trick and that should tell you all about his performance.

Firmino: 7.5/10

Bobby Firmino might not have scored or assisted but he did play his part in the final third, linking up with the other forwards as well as the midfielders. His was an overall team performance.

Diogo Jota: 8.9/10

Jota was put on on the left-hand side of the attack, ahead of Sadio Mane and he did not disappoint either, scoring one goal and providing one assist.

Substitutes:

Curtis Jones: 6.8/10

Replaced the injured James Milner in the 27th minute of the match and slotted in perfectly.

Oxlade-Chamberlain: 6.5/10

Sadio Mane: 6.6/10
