Liverpool put up their best display to beat Wolves but in the end, Manchester City have managed to clinch the Premier League crown.

Liverpool had the worst possible start to the game, going down 1-0 in the 3rd minute of the match but just like they have done this whole season, the players dug deep and eventually won the match 3-1. The Reds broke the 90-point mark thanks to this win but ultimately, they fell short by just a single point.

Their dreams of winning all four trophies have also been wiped away but Jurgen Klopp’s boys will have to quickly dust themselves back up because they have a Champions League final to focus on in the coming few days.

Liverpool players ratings vs Wolves:

Alisson: 7.5/10

The keeper made a few decent saves during the match and after conceding the first goal, he tightened things up.

Konate: 7.2/10

He was selected ahead of Van Dijk due to the Dutchman’s injury concern and much like he has done this season, Konate was solid and confident.

Joel Matip: 8/10

The centre-back was one of the star performers for Liverpool on Sunday as he provided the key assist for Liverpool’s second goal of the match which was scored by Mo Salah.

Robertson: 7.8/10

As usual, the left-back was adventurous in attack and scored Liverpool’s third goal of the match in the 89th minute.

Alexander-Arnold: 7.5/10

The right-back attempted three shots during the match, out of which one was on target, the other one was wide and the third was blocked.

Naby Keita: 6.7/10

Keita attempted one shot in the 13th minute which was blocked but apart from that, he was one of the average players. Klopp decides to take him off in the 70th minute.

Henderson: 7.5/10

With Fabinho ruled out, Hendo played in defensive midfield but despite that, he created one major chance.

Thiago: 7/10

The Spaniard provided a glorious assist for Liverpool’s equaliser but he limped off the pitch, just seconds before half-time.

Jota: 6.2/10

Salah was not risked on Sunday meaning Diogo Jota got a chance to start on the right-wing but he was a complete dud. The Liverpool forward had an xG of just 0.29 and a passing accuracy of 71%.

Sadio Mane: 8/10

Mane scored Liverpool’s opener on Sunday and along with that, he created three more chances.

Luis Diaz: 7.8/10

Like Mane, he also created three chances during the matches but unfortunately, none of them was on target.

Liverpool substitutes:

James Milner: 6/10

Milner replaced Thiago in the second half but there was no way he could compensate for the lack of creativity.

Mo Salah: 8/10

Salah had to be brought off the bench in the 58th minute and he repaid his manager’s trust by scoring the second goal for Liverpool.

Firmino: 7.2/10

Bobby Firmino came off the bench to provide an assist for Andy Robertson.
