Liverpool have made a rather poor start to their campaign and their problems have been aggravated after losing to Manchester United.

The Reds have picked up just two points from their first three matches in the Premier League and currently, they are 16th on the league table. They will take on Bournemouth in their next match and the Cherries actually have one more point than Jurgen Klopp’s side right now.

Liverpool have been hit by a large number of injury problems and this is one of the major reasons why they stumbled against Man United. Most of these players are not going to return to full fitness before Saturday’s game but with the players that he has, Klopp should be able to name a winning team against Bournemouth.

The away side will obviously look to make things unpleasant but Liverpool are undefeated in their last 24 home matches in the league and we think they will be able to pick up their first win of the season on Saturday.

Liverpool team news and injury updates:

Klopp has injured players in every department and right now, there are as many as nine players on the treatment table.

Ibrahima Konate and Joel Matip are both ruled out and neither of them is expected to be back any time soon. Matip is out for three or four weeks and Konate is also going to be out for the same amount of time.

The absence of these two players means Klopp has no other option but to keep using Joe Gomez alongside Virgil Van Dijk in central defence.

The midfield is perhaps the biggest cause of concern for the Liverpool manager because Naby Keita has suffered another injury setback and it’s still not clear if he will be fit for Saturday or not.

Thiago is out till September with a hamstring injury while Curtis Jones is also out for another month with a calf problem.

Fabinho came off the bench against Manchester United but he will surely start on Saturday and if Keita is not ready then Henderson and Milner will have to pair up alongside the Brazilian.

The manager also has Carvalho and Harvey Elliot as his midfield options but we don’t think he will risk using these two youngsters, especially when Liverpool need to win this match at any cost.

Darwin Nunez remains suspended due to his red card offence and with Jota out with an injury, Jurgen Klopp has no other option but to go ahead with a front-three of Salah, Firmino and Luis Diaz.
