Liverpool picked up a commanding 2-0 win over Leicester City in midweek thereby keeping the pressure on Manchester City in the Premier League title race and they will be keen to continue their winning run when they face Burnley during the weekend.

Burnley had a stellar outing against Manchester United but Liverpool are a different beast so we don’t expect Sean Dyche’s side to pull the rabbit out of the hat on Sunday as well. The Anfield outfit should be looking to pick up a regulation win and barring any unforced errors from the visiting side we don’t expect to see any other result.

Burnley are sitting at the bottom of the table but they have managed to draw their previous three league outing so Dyche’s men will obviously be going into this weekend’s game with a lot of hope. But Liverpool have won 6 of their last 7 away matches against Burnley in all competitions so the odds are very much in favour of Klopp’s side.

The Reds are currently nine points behind league leaders Manchester City but they have played one game less meaning they still have a chance to turn things around in terms of the title race.

Right after this game, Liverpool take on Inter Milan in the Champions League so their manager will surely have one eye on that encounter. This could force the manager to many some unwanted rotations to his first XI on Sunday but we doubt if any of that is going to impact the outcome of the match.

Liverpool’s team news vs Burnley:

Joel Matip should move to the bench on Sunday because Klopp will want to keep him fresh for the Inter game which means Ibrahima Konate is going to come into the side to play alongside Van Dijk.

The full-backs are not going to change despite Liverpool having Konstantinos Tsimikas available on the bench.

Thiago played the full 90 minutes in midweek and there’s no way he is going to get back-to-back starts in such quick succession. Naby Keita and Oxlade-Chamberlain will be available for selection and we expect one of them to replace Thiago in midfield.

Henderson missed the Leicester City game due to a slight back injury but the England international will return to the squad and is expected to start as well.

Sadio Mane was rested on Thursday after he returned late from the AFCON but he will be available for selection on Sunday. Diaz was really impressive during his Premier League debut and there’s a big chance the January signing will hold onto his place.

With the Inter game coming up, Jurgen Klopp will look to keep Sadio Mane fully fresh for the trip to Italy so he’s not likely to start vs Burnley.

Diogo Jota was a class apart vs the Foxes, scoring both the goals in the 2-0 win and he along with Mo Salah are guaranteed starters at Turf Moor.

Liverpool predicted line up vs Burnley:

Predicted Starting Line up(4-3-3): Alisson; Van Dijk, Konate, Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Naby Keita/Oxlade-Chamberlain; Mo Salah, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz.
