Liverpool were knocked out of the FA Cup by Brighton and next up, they will take on Wolves in the Premier League.

The Anfield outfit have faced Wolves twice in the previous month and in both these games, Liverpool have looked far from comfortable. Liverpool are currently ninth on the Premier League table and they have already suffered six losses this season. They cannot afford to suffer any more defeats or else qualifying for Europe will be a really tough task.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have won just one game in their previous five matches across all competitions and right now, it’s very difficult to predict a positive result for them. Liverpool need to turn things around as quickly as possible or else they are going to slide down to the bottom half of the table.

Liverpool’s team news vs Wolves:

The Reds have several injuries and the defence is a major cause of concern for the manager. Van Dijk, Nat Phillips and Konate are all ruled out.

Konate has picked up a hamstring injury so Joel Matip will come into the side to partner Joel Gomez.

The Liverpool manager has been using 18-year-old Bajcetic in midfield but after losing to the Seagulls, Klopp should be bringing Fabinho back in the middle of the park.

Jordan Henderson should also be coming into the starting line up, replacing Naby Keita on the left-hand side of the midfield.

Firmino, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz are all injury absentees so all the pressure and responsibility will be on Gakpo and Mo Salah. Harvey Elliott has been playing on the left wing and there’s a big chance Klopp is going to put his faith in him on Saturday as well.

Liverpool predicted line up vs Wolves:

Predicted Starting Line up(4-3-3): Alisson; Joel Matip, Gomez, TAA, Robertson; Fabinho, Thiago, Jordan Henderson; Mo Salah, Gakpo, Harvey Elliott.
