Liverpool have finally gotten back to winning ways after a series of losses by beating RB Leipzig to progress to the next round of the Champions League.

Liverpool’s hopes of finishing in the Premier League top-four are fading with each passing week and they could officially fall out of the race this matchweek if they are unable to beat Wolves, away from home.

Liverpool have lost 6 of their last 7 matches in the Premier League but the win against Leipzig should have given them that much-needed confidence booster ahead of their Molineux trip.

Jurgen Klopp still has a long injury list going into this match but the manager was finally able to use some of their star players in their original positions on Wednesday and we could see a repeat of the same on Monday. After this match, Liverpool will have some tough games against teams like Arsenal and Aston Villa, so if they fail to beat Wolves on Monday night then it will be a massive crisis situation for the defending champions.

Liverpool team news vs Wolves:

Alisson will start in goal and after a really long time, the defensive line could also remain unchanged from the RB Leipzig game from midweek.

Ozan Kabak and Nathaniel Phillips did a great job in central defence against the German side and there’s a big chance that Klopp might give them another go, this time vs Wolves.

With Phillips playing in defence, Fabinho can then be used in midfield and this is something Klopp has been desperate to try and do ever since Jordan Henderson picked up an injury. Fabinho playing in defensive midfield also helps Thiago to play in a more advanced role and dictate the game even better.

But if Fabinho and Thiago both start in midfield then Curtis Jones is likely to miss out since Wijnaldum has his place in the side almost secured.

Roberto Firmino missed the Leipzig game due to a knee injury and as per the latest reports, the forward will go through a late fitness test to see if he is fit and available for selection or not.

If Firmino is ruled out then Diogo Jota will play as the centre-forward while Mane and Mo Salah play on the wings.

Jurgen Klopp still has a long injury list but Jota coming back into the first-team squad has given the manager the luxury of rotating his front players.

Liverpool’s predicted line-up vs Wolves:

Predicted Starting Line-up: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Robertson, Phillips, Ozan Kabak; Fabinho, Thiago, Wijnaldum; Sadio Mane, Mo Salah, Diogo Jota.
