Liverpool quickly recovered from their defeat to Forest by picking up a superb 3-1 win over AC Milan in the Champions League and Arne Slot will want to keep this momentum going on Saturday.
In matchweek five of the Premier League, Liverpool are scheduled to take on AFC Bournemouth, a team which caused a fair bit of trouble to Chelsea last weekend.
However, Liverpool have won 10 of their last 11 matches against Bournemouth across all competitions and this season, the Cherries have won just a single match which was a 3-2 victory over Everton. The form that the Reds are in right now, this one should be a regulated win infront of the Anfield crowd.
Liverpool’s team news and possible rotations:
Tsimikas started at left-back for the Milan game but Andy Robertson is going to come into the starting lineup on Saturday. Apart from this, the other three members of the backline will remain the same.
Mac Allister, Gravenberch and Szoboszlai have formed a brilliant partnership in the middle of the pitch and unless there is a late injury, Arne Slot is not replacing either of them.
Mo Salah was underwhelming last weekend but the Egyptian showed his class against Milan. He was the highest-rated player on the pitch even though he did not make a goal contribution.
Cody Gakpo put his name on the scoresheet in midweek and he will be hoping to get a start at the back of this fine display. However, the Liverpool manager will most probably bring back Luis Diaz which means Gakpo will once again start on the bench.
Darwin Nunez came off the bench to replace Diogo Jota but the South American is expected to be named in the first XI because the manager will not want to overwork Jota.
Liverpool predicted lineup vs AFC Bournemouth:
Predicted Starting XI(4-2-3-1): Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Robertson, Van Dijk, Konate; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Szoboszlai, Luis Diaz, Mo Salah; Nunez.
