Liverpool have finally managed to get back into the top four of the Premier League after beating Burnley 3-0 in midweek and now they will have the chance to remain in that spot if they can pick up a win on Sunday.

The Anfield outfit play their final game of the season at home against Crystal Palace and they will need to pick up all three points to be able to keep themselves in the Champions League spot.

Liverpool are ahead of Leicester City on goal difference so only a win on Sunday will be enough to finish in the top four. The Reds have a plus four goal difference but since Leicester will take on Spurs on the very same day we do not expect Rodgers’ side to score more than four goals against the North London side.

Jurgen Klopp side have a long injury list but the good news for the manager is that his side have once again struck a good patch of form and they go into this final league match having won their previous four games in the Premier League. Palace, on the other hand, have lost three out of their last five matches.

Liverpool team news vs Crystal Palace:

Ozan Kabak remains sidelined with an injury while Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Van Dijk have all been out for months. So with such a big injury list of defenders, young Williams and Nat Phillips will pair up in central defence on Sunday.

The duo has done remarkably well in the past few matches and Klopp will be hoping they can come good one more time.

Fabinho will reprise his role in defensive midfield with Thiago playing alongside him. Some people think the manager might opt to leave Wijnaldum out of this one since he will be leaving in the summer. Klopp has gotten Curtis Jones back to full fitness so he does have an excuse to leave the Dutchman on the bench.

But since a top four place is at stake, the Liverpool boss is not likely to take such a massive gamble on Sunday.

Diogo Jota is recovering from an ankle injury and according to the Liverpool boss, he will be touch and go for Sunday’s home game.

The manager had said earlier this week: “When the swelling went down, we did another [scan] and you could see it better. There is a tiny, tiny little chance for him for the weekend, but it depends how it improves.”

If Jota is not fit then Sadio Mane will get to keep his place in the starting line-up since both Mo Salah and Firmino have been in great nick and Klopp will not even think of moving them to the bench.
